Case Study 5

VESTIBULIZING TRANSOCCLUSAL CHANNEL

Solution for an upper molar with extremely lingualized emergence. Transocclusal channel is reoriented to improve functionality and aesthetics.

a. Unitary prosthesis for an upper molar (26), with extremely lingualized emergence. Transocclusal channel is corrected with the BHS30 solution to improve the functionality of the restoration.

b. Details of the new direction of the channel after placement of BHS30 angled castable and after the finished piece is fixed to the analog, where we observe the increased thickness of the palatine wall and resistance of the piece.

c. Testing passive fit on the model, fixing it to its analog with the BHS Handler. New position of the transocclusal channel access hole is observed.
The occlusal view shows the exclusive spherical shape of the BHS30 screw head inside the channel. Final esthetics of the restoration.
